You want to buy life insurance to protect your family in case of your death, but you don’t want to spend more than you have to. Fortunately, the Internet is a great source for finding an affordable life insurance policy.

Finding Affordable Life Insurance Online

To help you find an affordable life insurance policy online, start by signing on to an insurance comparison website. Such websites will give you fast access to affordable life insurance quotes from numerous A-rated insurance companies.

On the best sites, you’ll also have access to licensed insurance professionals who can answer your questions and help you choose an affordable life insurance policy that’s right for you and your family. (See link below.)

When you get to the insurance website, you’ll complete a form with information about your …

* Desired insurance coverage

* Job

* Hobbies

* Health and medical history

So the insurance website can match you with the best companies and provide you with accurate quotes, it’s important that you complete the form accurately, completely, and honestly. If you don’t admit that your hobby is skydiving and you later die in a skydiving accident, your family may not receive the death benefit you wanted them to have.

Insurance Tips

There are some ways you can make your online life insurance policy more affordable:

* Find out if you can save money by paying your premium annually instead of monthly.

* Don’t get more life insurance than you need. As you decide how much life insurance you need, take into account any life insurance benefits you have through your job and any Social Security benefits your survivors might receive.

* If you want the investment benefits offered by a whole life policy, look for a no load policy, which will be more affordable.

* If your health isn’t the best, work on improving it. Stop smoking, begin an exercise program, lose weight, or do whatever else you need to do to improve your health.

    Where can I find affordable life insurance for sr citizen in-laws?
    I read a previous thread suggesting MediCare, but I am not talking about HEALTH insurance. They only have term life insurance tied to current job, and they need to retire. They have no burial policy, and each is worried about leaving the other with burial expenses and debts. I have seen a few ads online, but when you get to the fine print, they seem mostly like scams. They probably wouldn’t get a very good rating if a health exam were required. Probably $15 -$25K max would be the amount needed. They live in Texas if that matters.

    I just went through the same thing with my brother. He had recently been diagnosed with cancer. I posted here and got some great responses. The company that helped us was located at http://www.lvhealthins.com Because of my brother’s condition there is a two year waiting period before full benefit will be payable but it is with a great company and the people there at Insurance advisors were great to work with. They listened to our problem and were also able to help me with Health Insurance. It works out well that you are from Texas. They are based in Texas and Nevada. Good Luck

    when it comes to insurance, sadly, it is often difficult to tell the difference between the reputiable companies and the scams.

    That being said, there are a couple of issues. Firstly, how’s thier health? if they are both in good health, of similar ages, they could save on premiums by purchasing a joint universal life policy which pays out on one of the two lives.

    A "joint last to die policy" sounds like something that would solve this problem. A JLTD pays out on the second death, Is there enough funds available to pay for the first funeral, leaving the policy to pay for the second??? if so, this may be an preferred option.

    If the first funeral expense is a problem, a Joint First to Die Might work, but the premiums are more expensive.
